Basketball skills and training for girls in the Yukon
Lynx Basketball builds basketball skills and knowledge for girls with a friendly, inclusive approach. Train, compete and discover a lifelong love of sport. We offer programming for girls from Grades 4 through 12 in Whitehorse.
About lynx
Lynx Basketball was created so that girls in the Yukon had a place where they could feel welcomed, challenged and supported through sport. We believe youth sport should be friendly, inclusive and challenging.
For more than 12 years, we have provided skills training and competition opportunities for girls ages 10-17 in the Yukon. Hundreds of girls have developed basketball skills and built confidence through Lynx while being active and making friends.
It’s about creating an environment where girls are challenged, supported and given the confidence to make decisions, trust themselves and grow together.
We build skills throughout the season and find opportunities for competition (which is not always easy in the Yukon) and travel tournaments each year.
Girls sport is not an add-on at Lynx, it’s the reason we exist.
